However, just a short drive from the Strip lies a hidden gem for outdoor enthusiasts seeking tranquility and adventure—Lovell Canyon Road. This area offers some of the best dispersed camping opportunities near Las Vegas, providing a serene escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. 3. Solitude : Unlike more popular camping spots, Lovell Canyon Road offers a sense of solitude and peace. The dispersed nature of the camping spots ensures that campers can find their own secluded slice of nature to enjoy.

Whenever I'm camping, cooking over a fire with cast iron goes without saying. Here are some simple and delicious cast iron campfire recipes you can try:

Skillet S'mores

Layer graham crackers, chocolate bars, and marshmallows in a cast iron skillet, then heat until the marshmallows are gooey and melted.

Campfire Breakfast Skillet

Fry up some bacon, eggs, and potatoes in a cast iron skillet for a hearty breakfast. This is one of my favorite Simple Cast Iron Recipes. It doesn't get much easier.

Cast Iron Pizza

Top a pre-made pizza crust with sauce, cheese, and your favorite toppings, then cook in a cast iron skillet until the crust is crispy and the cheese is melted.

Cast Iron Dutch Oven Chili

Brown meat, add diced onions, peppers, canned tomatoes, and your favorite chili spices, then simmer in a cast iron Dutch oven until thick and flavorful.
