A Hummingbird Stopped By To See What Coffee I Was Brewing. Maybe it wanted some too, although I’m pretty sure they only like nectar from flowers. I couldn’t help but laugh as I watched it dart around for a few moments before flying away. I still can’t believe I was able to catch this on camera. My goal of the video watch to see the coffee percolating, then all of a sudden the hummingbird stopped by.

Hummingbirds are primarily attracted to brightly colored flowers and feeders that offer nectar, not the scent of coffee. I don’t know why it was so curious about what I was doing. Maybe it just wanted to be friendly! I was so amazed the tiny creature had come to visit me. I’m sure glad it did, because I’ll never forget the delight of that moment. Thank you hummingbird for reminding me that even in this busy world, there’s still room for friendship

Are you interested in making coffee on the trail in hopes that a hummingbird stops by? Check out the following links for the equipment I used. Coleman PowerPack Propane Single Burner and Coletti Percolator. In my opinion, a percolator makes the best coffee. One of these days I will try out a French Press…maybee.
